The north of Israel is home to amazing views. It has mountains, forests, and many water attractions. We’ll visit:
- Tel Dan and the biblical city of Leish, which was conquered by the tribe of Dan and later became a worship center for the kingdom of Israel
- The Banias Caesarea Philippi, where St. Peter recognized Jesus as the son of God. We’ll walk the remains of the Roman temples and enjoy the flowing stream
- Mount Bental observation point, located at the top of a dormant volcano. From it we can look towards the abandoned Syrian city of Al Qunaitra.
- Park Katzrin, the Talmudic village. We’ll see how people lived in the past
- Enjoy olive oil and local wine tastings
The Galilee and Golan region has many other sites and attractions that we can visit. We can add:
- Nimrod Citadel
- A visit to a Kibbutz, a unique collective community
- A tour of boutique wineries
- An authentic Druze meal
- The old Synagogue at Umm el-Qanatir (Rehavam’s Arches Synagogue)
- The vies from the Gamla observation
- Tel Hazor
- A visit to the old and holy city of Safed where we’ll walk the picturesque alleyways, visit the ancient synagogues and the art market
